- Around the world there is a growing movement of young people who are choosing to go ‘child-free’ in an effort to save the environment. One organisation in America wants to convince us all to abstain from reproduction in order to reduce the world population. When it comes to your carbon footprint, having a child is the single most damaging thing you can do to the planet. Choosing not to reproduce is nearly 7 times more effective than giving up your car. So would you support your children if it meant not having grandchildren?

I’m child free for me, no one else. The world is overpopulated but I’ve never wanted children.

I’m American and you have no idea how many times I’ve learned about things going on here by being talked about on UK shows. Lol
As long as there is a world there will be children that needs decent parents. You can choose to not have children for the planet and still be a parent to a child already here.

I'm 40 and never had children. I've had health issues and poor finances, hence why I've never had kids. But I do think we are over populated. I think if a woman doesn't want children, then they shouldn't be pressurised into having them.

Most countries are actually having a huge birth decline and with all the wars going on, I don’t think we’ll be overpopulated for much longer.

Nadia's right, climate change should be treated as an emergency just as covid was (unfortunately she was cut off right when she was making this point)! Most people still don't understand the dangerous situation we're in, on the brink of catastrophic changes in our oceans, environment, food supply etc 😢

Nature had it's own way of limiting children, if a couple couldn't have a family or you were a gay couple you didn't have children or you adopted a family but we messed about with Nature and now anyone and everyone can have their own children, we should have left it,my wife and I tried for years to have children but sadly couldn't so we accepted it but everyone wants everything that's why there's to many people in the world.
Nature has its own way of decreasing population size too to you agree with no medical intervention as that is playing with nature?
@@hannahbrady4397 hi my name is Kate and I am using my husband phone today, no if a life is made than that baby or adult has every right to have the best life than can,I just think that not everyone has the right to have children, I know because we tried for years to have a family but had to accept it was not going to happen for us,we were offered Ivf but decided that we could go through years of trying and still not have a family so hard as it was we decided to let go of the hope of a children, we have been very happily married for almost 24 years and we would have loved children and been very loving parents (we are great parents to our furbabies lol),we thought about adoption but I have to by honest if as adults they went looking for their birth parents I would have felt hurt and jealous, second best so we decided not to adopt, people are always saying that we would have made great parents and should think about fostering but I would want them to leave if I really took to a child so I live with the hurt of being childless but chose not to give myself anymore hurt ,I hope you understand our comment wasn't to be nasty, I really do believe it is nature's way of limiting births .
I hope Jane and Co aren't getting on any flights this year. Does Kays husband still run a tennis club in Italy which means getting on a flight to attend. 😂

sometimes Nadia the feelings of the parents are transmitted to the kids. We need to be conscious but dont let the powers that be scare you because those living consciously already know they have an agenda. Religion has lost its fear so they needed to invent something else. Look after the planet like you would your home but get on and enjoy life.

Who would choose to have kids nowadays? 😂 bringing them into this horrible, unsafe world we live in now. All having children does is make people alot worse off financially and unhappy they basically ruin your life

My kids never, ever ruined my life, you may not want children, that's absolutely your choice, but unless you are a parent, you have no idea what you are talking about as regards children, saying they ruin your life
